It’s hard to explain what it was like to meet the Mayor of Jerusalem and the Prime Minster of Palestine. In fact it’s hard to even imagine that I had the opportunity.
Both men were bold, confident, and willing to put it all on the line for their country. Both men want peace and shared many similar ideas on how to achieve it. Both men acknowledged the difficulty of the road ahead.
What I will most take away from the meeting is that both men had a vision of the greatness of their people. I found this very inspiring.
Also, amazing to me is that each shared over an hour of their time with us. They shared their vision, answered questions and expressed appreciation for our visit.
PS: I made sure that before I left both men knew where Provo was and told them I expected to have a visit from them.
