Testing the Water

Starting at 9 a.m. today, fire hydrants will be opened in the area of 100 S. and University Ave. for the purpose of testing fire flow and pressure. This may involve large streams of water spraying into and along city streets. The testing should be completed in less than an hour, depending on how many hydrants are opened. Questions or concerns can be directed to Water Resources Division Principal Engineer Shane Jones. You can reach him through Customer Service at 801-852-6000.

Update:

The test has been postponed. It has not bee rescheduled for another date yet.

  1. I think that it is incredible that they water test so often. I think that it can be really important to take care of the water. I would like to know that it is safe for everyone else.
