On a Personal Note

Today Sue and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. I don’t think the day would fall into the romantic category. We spent the day driving back from an LDS youth conference. The only time we actually had alone was fixing the flat tire together.
I can’t imagine a more supportive wife than Sue. Most don’t realize how much she gives up so that I can have this fantastic experience of being mayor. Of course, those who know Sue understand she finds a way to live life to the fullest no matter our situation. It’s been 30 years of fun, romance, kids, friends, hard work and lots of good experiences. I’m looking forward to the next 30 years with her.
BTW, many are glad to hear we made it to 30 after I used the blog to announce that we were officially split two years ago.
PS I’m taking her to Denver in two weeks for the real anniversary celebration.

  1. Congrats to a great couple who compliment each other well! We’ve had a few anniversaries like the one you described:) (Our 30th is next year.)
    Best wishes!
