The notification below just came in from the Utah Department of Emergency Management. And as a reminder, you can report outages to Provo Power by calling 311. Even with big outages, when there are too many calls for our personnel to answer, our automated system can take your information and help us track the outages. Just call and follow the prompts. Your information is critical to helping us respond.

Notification: High wind warning/advisory, Oct. 22, 2012

The National Weather Service has informed the Utah Division of Emergency Management of the potential for falling tree limbs during the incoming storm.

The limbs could damage power lines beginning Tuesday morning and on Wednesday. Their office and ours have been in contact with Rocky Mountain Power, Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems and Utah Municipal Power Agency.
A high wind warning is in effect for southwestern Utah, a wind advisory is in effect for the rest of the state and a winter weather advisory is in effect for the Wasatch Front.
