Be Ready Provo

Emergencies and disasters can strike at unexpected moments and it is important to take the time to do some simple things that will help you get back on your feet as quickly as possible following an emergency.

The first step is to – Make a Plan
Your family may not be together when disaster strikes, so it is important to plan in advance. How you will contact one another, how you will get back together, and what you will do in different situations.
The second step is to – Get a Kit
Whether an emergency or disaster keeps you at home or requires you to evacuate, you’ll be better prepared to deal with the situation, and to help others if you have adequate emergency supplies on hand.
And the the third step is to – Be Informed
You need to know how to protect yourself from a variety of disasters, including flooding, tornadoes, wildfires, drought, debris flows, landslides, earthquakes and terrorist attacks. It is important to be informed about Utah’s hazards so you can be ready for the unexpected.
