South Franklin Community Center Ribbon Cutting

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, July 30 at 11:00 am to celebrate the the completion of the South Franklin Community Center, which will be a source of community spirit, education and advancement to the South Franklin Neighborhood residents. The building is located at 770 South 700 West in the Boulders.

This project represents a unique public/private partnership and a culmination of three years of planning to create a facility which will serve as an anchor for social services, education programs, and neighborhood activities for the residents of The Boulders Apartments and the entire South Franklin Neighborhood.

The new 2,835 square foot South Franklin Community Center will house numerous programs sponsored by United Way including, but not limited to summer camp, after school tutoring, computer, life skills and healthy cooking classes, exercise classes, recreational activities, and the Neighbor to Neighbor program. You can read more about the community center here.

I will be there along with City Council Member Hal Miller and United Way of Utah County CEO Bill Hulterstrom to celebrate this unique partnership.

If you are free that morning, I invite you to attend. Hope to see you there.

PS After the Ribbon Cutting, the new community center will be open for a self guided tour.
