Paint the MOA: Call for Volunteers

Kim Schoenstadt will be creating her work, Block Plan Series: Provo, at the BYU Museum of Art (MOA) fall 2014. As part of this massive installation the artist has invited the public to help her create this site-specific painting exploring the architecture of Provo. Schoenstadt’s painting will reimagine Provo’s skyline, mish-mashing Provo’s iconic buildings like the Startup Candy Factory and Adobe into the BYU Law Library and Reams “Turtle Shell.”

Help us create this amazing artwork, work directly with the artist, and help us Paint the MOA! We will be working 9:00 am-6:00 pm on August 2, 4, 5, and 9, and 9a-9p on August 6, 7, and 8. The volunteer shifts are 9:00 am-12:00 pm, 12:00 pm-3:00 pm, 3:o0 pm-6:00 pm, and 6:00 pm-9:00pm

Some painting experience is preferred but not required. Must be over the age of 12. If you are interested in volunteering, please email with the following:

  1. Your name, phone, and email
  2. Your availability/shift preferences
  3. Level of artistic painting background if any
