Provo Skateboard Competition

The Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Provo Skateboard Competition at Provo’s Skate Plaza (650 N 200 w) this Saturday, September 13, 2014. Registration/Warm-ups will start at 9:00 am and the competition will start at 10:00 am.

The Provo Skateboard Competition is for skateboarders age 8+. Skaters will come together in a jam-style competition in 3 different levels – beginners, intermediate, and advanced. Competitors will skate with two other skaters, and may be invited to skate again for multiple rounds of judging.

All participants will receive a registration prize bag with local swag and water and gatorade will be provided to the competitors. The top three competitors in each level will receive prizes from Board of Provo, including gear, apparel, board equipment, and decks. Board of Provo will be judging the competition.

All skill-levels are welcome. Prizes increase in value with each competitive level.

*Helmets are required for competition and will be provided if needed.

Registration cost $5. You can register at the Provo Recreation Center or online at signup.provo.org.

  2. Just a thought

    Now can we require those who choose to ride motorcycles wear a helmet. Seems like it should be, along side all if the other driving safety rules.

    Also, Yeah!! Skateboarding…
