The autumn colors, cooler weather, and fall festivities make Provo a spooktacular city! There are so many fun activities and events going on so I’ve put together a list of Halloween events that your whole family can enjoy. Leave a comment and let me know what event you’re most excited for! If you notice an event not listed, let me know and I will add it to the list.

PROVO RECREATION CENTER

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL
Friday, October 31, 5-10 pm

Free for Recreation Center Members || Or $4 youth & seniors | $5 adults

Join other ghosts, super heroes, witches, and princesses at the Recreation Center for a chance to wander the Wonderland Cake Walk, take a shot at Angry Birds, create some autumn crafts, and more than a dozen other activities.  Entertainment, crafts, and character meet-and-greets will give every member of the family something to enjoy.

For older and braver ghouls, journey through the zombie graveyard, haunted asylum, and clown hallway in the Haunted House of Horrors. This portion of the event is best for adults and youth over age 10.

PREPARING FOR THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE

  • October 29 – How to Get Involved in your Community

We are putting a zombified twist on the traditional emergency preparedness skills. If your looking to take a survival or outdoor wilderness skills class, then this education series is for you!

Food Truck RoundUp

TRUCK OR TREAT
Thursday, October 30, 5-7 pm

The Food Truck Roundup (560 S 100 W, Provo) will be giving out candy on Thursday, October 30. This foodtacular event falls on the day before Halloween and all little trick-or-treaters and their families are invited to come out and go trick-or-treating from truck to truck! Each Truck will have someone in costume passing out candy. Food will also be for sale.

PEAKS SPOOKTACULAR
Saturday, October 25, 6-9 pm

Free admission with costume

Candy, skating, music oh my! Stop by the Peaks Ice Arena dressed in your Halloween costume on October 25 from 6-9 pm and skate for FREE! There will be candy, prizes, entertainment, and more!

Zombies, and Much Ado… what could possibly go wrong? Set in steampunk style with original music and amazing effects, Much Ado About Zombies is sure to be the perfect entertainment this Halloween season!

Weekdays 7 pm – 10 pm, Weekends  7 pm – 11 pm

Bring your families and start your Halloween celebration in Downtown Provo. Join us on Center Street and University Avenue for trick-or-treating, a costume contest, magic show, music and more!

This is a free event, but we ask you to please consider bringing a non-perishable food item or small cash donation to the Covey Center for the Arts to be donated to the Provo food bank.

Annual trick or treating inside the Provo Towne Centre mall. Stores will be giving away the candy to children dressed in their Halloween costume!

PUMPKIN PARADE
Saturday, October 25, 4-9 pm

The Shops at Riverwoods will be lining their streets with fun and fantastic pumpkin scenes! Local artists will be turning pumpkins and squash into creative, cute and captivating displays! Come for hayrides, face painting, s’mores station, live entertainment, and trick-or-treating throughout the shops. There will be countless of Halloween activities for the whole family to enjoy!

Provo’s corn maze has three different levels of difficulty from 1/3 mile all the way to over 3 miles. The Kids maze is .3 miles long, the Adventurous maze is 1.5 miles and the Insane maze is 3.2 miles.

Join us for one of Shakespeare’s bloodiest plays. What happens when a renowned Roman general and father of twenty-five(!) makes enemies in high places? A lot of people die. Then Dad seeks revenge and a whole lot of other people die.

Hold onto your heads for this show, it’s going to be a horrific ride. You won’t be able to keep quiet about it. Be sure to come with an appetite and early, too. We’ll have some tempting food available. Oh! Remember that the theatre opens 30 minutes before the show with a different live band every night!

      Lucy – My understanding is that the kids that come in costumes won’t be charged but I can’t say that’s the case for the adults.
