Provo Halloween Carnival 2014

Are you looking for something fun to do on Halloween? Come to the Recreation Center for Provo’s Annual Halloween Carnival on Friday, October 31 from 5:00 – 10:00 pm. Entertainment, crafts, and character meet-and-greets will give every member of the family something to enjoy.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

How to Train Your Dragon Course – Do you have what it takes to be a dragon trainer? Go on a legendary quest and learn more about your favorite fire-breathing friends.

Carnival Games – Join other ghosts, super heroes, witches, and princesses for a chance to wander the Wonderland Cake Walk, take a shot at Angry Birds, Toss some Minions, play Zombie Soccer, compete in Woody’s Roundup, get your fortune read by gypsies, participate in a frightful Food Eating Contest, climb the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Tower, go on Luigi’s Mansion Ghost Hunt, and play Giant Operation!

Zombie vs Human Laser Tag – Do you think you could survive a Zombie Apocalypse? Here’s your chance to test your shooting skills with this laser tag style experience!

Character Meet & Greets – Be sure to stop by and have your picture taken with your favorite characters: Maleficent & Aurora, Mary Poppins & Bert, Katniss Everdeen & Effie Trinket, Peter Pan & Tinkerbell, and Glinda & Elphaba.

Entertainment – You’ll laugh, you’ll gasp – you won’t believe your eyes! Let us take you on a magical, fun-filled extravaganza of Halloween magic, comedy, live animals, large illusions and loads of audience participation! Fun that will haunt, challenge and make you scream with delight!

  • Magic Show (on the half-hour) – 5:30pm, 6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm
  • Animal Show (on the hour) – 6:00pm, 7:00pm, 8:00pm, 9:00pm

The Witches Craft Room – Get ready for some be’witch’ing halloween crafts including Spider Tootsie Pops and Spider Web Craft.

Trick-or-Treat Street – Trick-or-Treat Street invites children and adults alike to visit the make believe lands of famous stories, books, and movies. Join us this year to trick-or-treat through The Lego Movie, The Princess Frog, Ghostbusters, Aliens & Astronauts, The Flinstones, Tangled, and Beauty & The Beast.

Haunted House – For older and braver ghouls, journey through the zombie graveyard, haunted asylum, and clown hallway in the Haunted House of Horrors. This portion of the event is best for adults and youth over age 10.

Other Activities – Don’t forget about our Spooktacular Scavenger Hunt and Creepy Candy Guess Game! You can find these activities in the back of the Multipurpose Room.

Recreation Center Members get into the event for free. Admission for non-members is: $5 for adults and $4 for youth and seniors (2 & under free). The recreation staff is encourage residents to buy their wristbands early to avoid the lines. You can purchase your wristbands at the Provo Recreation Center.
