Well, here we are, on the cusp of another holiday season, a time of joy, of anticipation, of sharing and love. I love this time and the feeling that comes with it, the feeling that we are all in this together. With the season of giving upon us, I thought that it would be a good idea to put together a list of ways we can help the less fortunate. Check out the list below and share with me how you are giving this holiday season. *If you notice a service opportunity not listed, let me know and I will make sure it is included.
We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving by sharing an #UNselfie. Share your #UNselfie for #GivingTuesday and tag @GivingTuesday in your pictures on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity.
