166th in the Rear View Mirror

Last week’s birthday party gave me a front row seat and a peek behind the curtain into many of your lives. I saw inside your homes, back yards, classrooms and work places and I like what I saw. In all, I attended over two dozen parties and every single party carried the same theme of amazing people who were kind, generous and loved our City.

I should have ended the week tired. Some mornings I started at 3:00 am and didn’t end until 10:00 pm (everyone that knows me knows I need my sleep). Instead of being worn out I was invigorated. You all inspire me. I admire your energy and passion.

More than ever before I love my job and representing you. I have a growing feeling that we have only begun to scratch the surface of Provo’s greatness. It starts with our people but it also includes our mountains, lake, river, universities, businesses, music, restaurants, artists, downtown and so much more.

No need to worry if you didn’t get a chance to join us in the celebration. We’ve already started to plan next year. What can you expect? We’ll have lots of fun, lots of parties and lots of cool.
