Provo Bike Month

Provo Bike Month

May is National Bike Month and Provo is celebrating the good and fun of bicycling. For several years we have held a Bike-to-Work Week in May but this month it is now simply Provo Bike Month! What better way to celebrate (other than riding) than by advocating for bicycling. Let’s make Provo an even more bicycle-friendly community. Check out the list of events below and mark your calendar for a month full of bicycling celebrations!

Rumor has it there is a push for bike lanes on 300 south. Being an avid and confident biker, I personally think that is crazy and asking for someone to get hurt. 600 S is a much better route to encourage bicyclists.

  2. Aaron Skabelund

Aaron, There will be a multi-use path along 300 South for those who do not want to be on the bike lanes on the rebuilt 300 South, which not be the same road we know (and I think is universally disliked) now. There will bike lanes on 600 South too.

  3. Steven Dolbeare

Provo City is ranked number 12 in the National standings of the nationalbikechallenge.org. I think that is awesome. Now how about posting a nice picture for the city of Provo, for example the new flag, on the nationalbikechallenge.org Provo City profile page? All we have right now is a locator pointer like they have on map pages. That is pretty lame, Provo is way more deserving than thet.

    1. Steven Dolbeare

I spoke too soon. I see that a picture of the Provo Flag is now the profile picture on the national site! Awesome!!!

What is the Sherlock ride, sounds like we will have to solve a crime?

I’ve got some more details for you:
