Pioneer Day

It is that time of year again! Families can celebrate their pioneer heritage at Provo’s annual Pioneer Day Extravaganza on Friday, July 24 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at North Park, 500 N 500 West. There will be a variety of activities for the whole family at the free event:

Pioneer Activities

Live entertainment – There will be live bands performing on the Main Stage throughout the event. Hear from Cody Robbins, Utah Old Time Fiddlers, and Wulf Mountain.

Homemade Pie Cook-off – 10 pies baked by local residents, judged by local celebrities and experts. Free samples for everyone afterwards!

Dutch Oven Cook-off – Local residents will submit their dish for judging, and then samples will be given out!

Pie Contest

Games & Crafts – duck hunt, slingshot saloon, pan for gold, DIY mustaches, face painting, tomahawk throw, lasso a bull, county jail, hairstyles, outlaw shootout, etc.

Panning for Gold

Ride & Competitions – root beer chugging, pony rides, covered wagon rides, log saw competition, tug-a-war, etc.

Reenactments – pioneer village, pioneer museum, native american village, mountain man encampment, trader’s camp, etc.

Native American Village

Lots of yummy food – food vendors, farmer’s market, homemade pie sampling, etc.
