Have you heard of the A-frame Concert Series? The A-frame Concert Series takes place in the tree streets at the unconventional home of Liz and Andrew Maxfield. A dedicated concert space with grand piano and pipe organ, the A-frame is an acoustically engineered room that provides a perfect atmosphere for an intimate concert.
The Maxfields started the series as a way to allure musician-friends touring past Provo to stop and say hello, but the series has since expanded to feature nationally known acts and local favorites as well. In addition to music, each event features a pop-up gallery of a local visual artist, and small plates or desserts from a local chef.
Past featured musicians, artists, and chefs have included:
Laura Cortese and the Dance Cards, Midas Whale, Stuart Maxfield and Robbie Connolly (of Fictionist), Solo cellist Andrea Kleesattel, Darol Anger, National Parks, Caitlin Connolly, Leslie Duke, Justin Wheatley, Annie Blake, Colby Sanford, Josh Bingham, Mark Daniel Mason (chef of Black Sheep), and more.
The next A-Frame concert will take place on Friday, November 13th and will showcase local ethereal folk pop group Quiet House, artist Paige Crosland Anderson, and chef Pete Tidwell (a.k.a. The Mighty Baker).
