#ProvoWomensDay

Sue has an important message to share with you, so she has taken over my office! Press play to learn more about International Women’s Day and how you can be a part of the celebration.

We have had an overwhelming amount of support and excitement ever since it was announced that Provo will be celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8th. So much so that once the tickets were release on provowomensday.com, sessions and evening events started filling up fast! The Alison Show Dance Party sold out in 20 minutes, the Film Screening hosted by Provo Film Society and Big Door sold out in a day, and the Lecture Series is now full!

If you were wishing you could get tickets to the Lecture Series please sign up for our waitlist. As seats become available we will let you know! If you are unable to join us in person, the Lecture Series will be broadcasted live on Channel 17 all day long.

If you’ve already got tickets for the Lecture Series but find out that you can no longer attend, please take the time to update your order. Eventbrite makes it easy to cancel your registration from your Eventbrite account. Just log in to Eventbrite, Go to the Tickets page, and locate your order. Click your order to view order details, and then select “Cancel Order” to cancel your registration. (TIP: The option to cancel will only appear on a desktop computer—not on a mobile device.) If you have any questions about managing your order please email smasterson@vschool.io.

Evening Lecture Series Session

If you are unable to attend the lecture series during the day, there is still space available during our evening session! The session will start at 7:00 pm over at Writ & Vision and includes a roundtable panel commemorating the impact of women on the growth of Provo. Provo is changing, and nowhere is that more visible than in the local art, music, and business.

The panel will discuss the influence of women on these changes, and will feature: C. Jane Kendrick, Allison Lew, Mindy Glehill, and Susan Krueger-Barber. This event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.

Space is limited, so please RSVP!

Music Event

The Velour Live Music Gallery is hosting a special reception from 6:00-7:30pm. Come meet-up and enjoy a set of music from local artist and ethereal violinist-vocalist, Alyssa Pyper. Admittance is free, but if you feel inclined any cash donations received the night of the event will be given to United Way as contributions to support the Utah Department of Corrections Bedtime Stories program, which allows incarcerated mothers and grandmothers to record stories or songs for their children and grandchildren.

Space is limited, so please RSVP!

Bike Ride

A bike ride to empower women! Come make new friends and enjoy a slow paced 3 mile ride around Provo. Everyone is invited to participate – bring your kids, family and neighbors! If you plan to attend, RSVP HERE!

The ride will end at Writ & Vision (274 Center St) just in time for the 7:00 pm Art Discussion. You can choose to ride home from there or attend the Art Discussion featuring a roundtable panel commemorating the impact of women on the growth of Provo.
