Provo Power Grand Opening Celebration!

power-building

After several years of planning, organizing and construction, the new Provo Power Building is now complete! This has been a monumental project for us and we are excited to share the history and heritage of Provo Power from its inception in 1940 through all the changes and progress made since then. Many of these historical aspects were thoughtfully included in the design of the new building.

Provo Power operates and maintains over 36,000 meters, 380 miles of distribution lines, 48 miles of transmission lines and 18 substation transformers. As a Public Power Provider, we take great pride in offering reliable and safe electric service to our customers. Provo Power’s utility rates are among some of the lowest in the state, and our power system is one of the most reliable in the State of Utah and the Western Region.

Our new state of the art facility is LEED GOLD certified, which includes a large array of solar panels, and portrays our dedication to our customers that being energy conscious is important to us and adds value to our community.

I would like to invite everyone to join us for a Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Celebration!

  1. Zeth Turner

Mayor Curtis, what is the property directly to the west of the Energy Department?….on 800 north?

    1. The area is still under construction but it will be a green space Park and Pavilion managed by Provo Power which includes an open and landscaped pathway to the Recreation Center.
