      what is “carol-in”?
Also, is the concert really a full 2 hours?

      1. “Carol-In” is a sing-in of Christmas carols. It takes place while people are arriving for Carols by Candlelight. Its a fun way to pass the time waiting for the concert to begin (@7). The actual concert is about 75 minutes.

  2. Traccie K

We love the Pioneer Christmas. It has become our favorite Christmas tradition. (Does that count as being Jolly?)

  3. Stacey Jones

Our favorite, without a doubt, is the downtown lights on ceremony. Thanks for the list, mayor!!

  18. Shanna

It’s our first Christmas in Utah and in Provo! I am looking forward to the Provo River Christmas Cruise and the Santa Run.

  19. Wendy Wise

I only get to choose one I’m jolly for? Some of these activities are an annual family tradition….the Provo River Cruise, and Provo Lights On ceremony, And, each December my husband and I celebrate our anniversary at The Shops at Riverwoods. We enjoy a dinner and then enjoy a nice walk looking at all the lights, perusing shops. I attended McCoard’s Christmas Bazaar this year and purchased gifts for others. It’s too hard to pick just one.

  20. Nicole D

Even though I’m a grown-up, the kid inside of me is so excited to pet the reindeer at the Lights-on Ceremony! What time will the reindeer be there??

  21. Nicole D

Clarification please? Both 4pm (in header) and 3pm (in description) are listed as start times for the Lights-on Ceremony. Which is correct? We have competing events that day, and the start time makes a difference to our planning. Also, when are the reindeer available to pet?

    1. John

I believe it kicks off at 3:00. Sorry for the confusion.

  22. Melissa Baugh

    The bazaar at Mccoards!

  23. Stacy C.

So excited for the lights on! And to try some new ones. Thank you mayor!

  24. Kathryn S. Allen

Having attended most of them through the years, it’s hard to choose! Tried the Christmas in Color this year and the kids (very young) loved the lights! Lights on downtown is always fun. Especially with the addition of the Market….. Hmmm, I’m not sure I can pick just one. I want to try McCoard’s and see what I can find – they’ve never failed me in the Spring or Summer, so I’m sure I will bring something home from there!

  25. Trish

We are excited for the Christmas Market and lights on ceremony!

  26. Laura

I am new In town, I am glad to see a good number of activities to choose from and enjoy the season. Thanks.

    1. John
