Movies in the Park 2017

Come and enjoy a big screen movie in the great outdoors Monday nights in August at Rock Canyon Park! Bring your own blankets and chairs to watch from the hillside, which completely fills up by the time the movie starts. Come early to find a good seat, grab dinner from a variety of food trucks, and participate in themed activities before the movie starts. Movies are free and start at dusk (around 8:30 pm).

There are several options for parking. There is limited parking east of Rock Canyon Park on Foothill Drive. The parking lot at the park that holds about 100 cars. You may also park along the street. A secret place to park is at the trail head to Rock Canyon.You can park at the Rock Canyon Trail Head and follow the Footpath north to the park. See map below.

*Bonus Movies

We are adding 2 special movies at the beginning and end of the Movie in the Park series.

July 31st – Moana
August 28th – Movie TBD

On Monday, July 31, join us at the Recreation Center for a “Dive-in Movie”. We will be watching Moana in the pool, eating sweet bread, and entertained by Polynesian dancing. This is our only movie that has an admission fee – the equivalent of a day pass at the Recreation Center. So spend the day swimming at the Rec Center and end it with a poolside movie. Free for Recreation Center Members.

On Monday, August 28, Provo Parks and Recreation will be hosting a “Movie in the Parking Lot” at Provo Towne Centre starting at 8:30pm. Movie TBD.
