I would like to extend a warm welcome (back) to our student neighbors! Provo is lucky to have such a young population—it infuses the city with vibrancy and fresh ideas. Some of our most successful businesses, startups and creative endeavors have come from students who’ve decided to make Provo their home.
Whether you are here for a short time while you study, or you decide to make Provo your home, we want you to feel welcome and safe here in our town. We encourage student voices in our civic engagement and decision-making processes. If you don’t already, please follow us on social media for updates and public postings– it’s the best thing you can do to get involved while you’re here.

We also have a website just for you, Provo4Students.org which is full of information about Provo, including government services, how to register to vote (please do so!) and everything you need to know about parking.
And speaking of parking, we’re all in a tight squeeze here in Provo, so please consider walking, riding bikes or carpooling as much as possible to minimize congestion and keep our streets safe.
I hope you’ll enjoy your time here, not only studying in some of the best universities in the world, but also as you take advantage of all Provo has to offer, from hiking and climbing to music and art. And if there is anything we can do for you to make your life better while you’re here, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
