In this day and age, electricity is a commodity (or habit) that gets taken for granted time and time again and in Provo, understanding what you use and when you use it has been a mystery – until now.
Introducing a new and improved online portal where our customers now have the ability to track their electrical consumption by the month, the day and by the hour. In addition to tracking electrical consumption, you can also track your water consumption on this same site. Both of which are great resources to monitor usage and have an idea of where our customers can conserve and make a difference.
Go to: myusage.provo.org where you’ll need to register your account. Because of the security and privacy laws we abide by, there is a utility account verification process, so you’ll need your utility bill in front of you to get the proper information, or you can always call our Customer Service Department by dialing 3-1-1 or (801) 852-6000 and they can help you with specific details on your account.
Once your account is registered, you’ll be able to dive in to some fascinating facts about your consumption, even down to the average temperature of the day and how that may have affected your electrical consumption, see what time of day you use the most power, and quite possibly, be able to use this resource as a stepping stool for energy conservation which can equate to a lower utility bill. Who doesn’t like the sound of that?
As always, Provo Power is looking at ways of offering reliable electrical service to our customers, in addition to providing tools and resources that creates an understanding of the commodity of electricity that life revolves around.
